William
Choice House
Northern Greenville County, SC
In
Ms. Laura Ebaugh Smiths book, Bridging the Gap, a mention
is made that this house was used as a stage coach stop for travelers
going to Asheville. This photo is one of two taken in December 1971
in what is now the parking lot of Publix Supermarket at University
Square Shopping Center near Furman University. William Choice is
buried in the north section of Christ Church Episcopal cemetery
in downtown Greenville. (See Christ Church image below.)

Glencoe
Historical Mill Village
Alamance County, NC
Situated
along the Haw River near Burlington, NC, Glencoe Mill Village has
undergone extensive renovation since it was purchased by Preservation
North Carolina in the late 1990s.
A
mill and thirty-two worker houses on approximately 110 acres comprise
the historic site. Individuals have bought and renovated the houses
keeping much of the character and charm of the original post and
beam structures.
